Design, calculate, and define code requirements of advanced plumbing systems
Apply plumbing common practices of storm water systems, pumps and pumping systems, automatic fire sprinkler, standpipe systems, gaseous agent suppression systems, and medical gas systems
Describe specialized water treatment systems and fuel oil systems, and evaluate their required specialized piping materials

About this course:

This PSD II Course benefits individuals who are familiar with Basic Plumbing Design and Fundamental Engineering Practices. This course builds on MECH&AE X 400.8 Plumbing System Design (PSD) 1. Included is a discussion of the topics listed in the course module. A discussion of the piping materials needed for each type of system is reviewed. Week 11 is reserved for student input, and a topic for discussion is selected at the conclusion of the Week 10 lecture.

Prerequisites

A good grasp of fundamental mathematics and completion of MECH&AE X 400.8 Plumbing Systems Design I with a grade of "C" or better.
