Today’s data scientist is a data-driven problem solver who must not only have the business acumen and customer insights to ask the right question, but also the skills to then answer it correctly. Part art, part science, you’ll combine skills in data management, programming, statistics and machine learning to extract, analyze, and communicate your findings.
Our Data Science Certificate is offered in two program formats: standard and intensive. Both offer the foundational knowledge needed for a career as a data scientist, data analyst or business analyst.

Fast-track your studies and earn your Data Science Certificate in one quarter. All classes meet via remote instruction three times per week for 10 weeks. The program fee includes the four required courses, which are taken concurrently in a specially designed intensive format.

The U.S. Department of Education requires colleges and universities to disclose certain information for any financial aid eligible program that, “prepares students for gainful employment in a recognized occupation”. This information includes program costs; occupations that the program prepares students to enter; occupational profiles; on time completion rate; and for the most recent award year: the number of students who have completed the program, the number of students who complete the program within the estimated duration, the job placement rate, and the median Title IV and private loan debt incurred by those who complete the program. As an optional elective, Data Science Certificate students may receive credit for successful completion of an internship.
To be eligible, students must be a current Data Science Certificate candidate, and have completed a minimum of 12 units toward the required curriculum with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
The Data Science Certificate is approved for international students (F-1 student visa).
International applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency by submitting test scores from either TOEFL, IELTS or iTEP. Some applicants may be exempt from this requirement if certain criteria are met.
